Particular attention was given to keeping the very compact dimensions and at the same time increasing the engine power and the carrying capacity.

 

The KE 702-2 can be utilized in confined areas. It is possible to maneuver the drill rig through door heights of 6.5 feet (2000 mm) and 2.5 feet (750 mm) width. Excellent stability in all drilling situations is achieved through the telescopic tracks extendable up to 4.1 feet (1250 mm) in conjunction with the two standard outriggers (jacks). Each crawler side as well as each outrigger can be moved individually.

 

The drill rig power pack is driven either by a diesel engine or by an electric motor. Both power pack models offer a modern high pressure hydraulic system for the operation of the latest generation of Klemm rotary heads and drifters. Supply lines up to 82 feet (25 m) provide a great operational range for the basic unit without the necessity of repositioning.
